Mason Schwartz is a real estate and land use attorney who started with the Firm in 2014.  He represents municipalities, developers and landowners throughout the State of Oklahoma on a wide range of litigation and transactional matters.

Experience

  • Litigating civil cases involving land use and development projects, including zoning and planning disputes, board of adjustment appeals, and similar cases on behalf of developers, landowners and municipalities
  • Litigating eminent domain cases on behalf of public utilities, pipelines, developers and landowners.
  • Litigating cases involving real property rights, including covenants and owners’ association disputes, adverse possession and boundary disputes, easement disputes, lease and contract disputes, etc.
  • Representing developers and landowners in obtaining land use entitlements from municipalities throughout the State of Oklahoma
  • Representing homebuilders in lobbying efforts related to State legislation and municipal zoning codes
  • Consulting for municipalities on local development codes and comprehensive plans
  • Consulting for developers and landowners on zoning and land use entitlements
  • Drafting instruments and negotiating matters pertaining to real property, including residential and commercial covenants, deeds, leases, easements, releases of easements, etc.
  • Drafting articles of incorporation and related documents for the formation of LLC business entities
  • Presenting at professional seminars on right-of-way acquisition and land use law
